Well... The April 4, 2009 S.C.V.F.D. Meat Show has come and gone. I'm happy to report this year was a great success! Members of the department as well as the community had a great time. More than a Thousand pounds of meat, ham, pork, shrimp, steaks, turkeys, not to mention the live pig, and piglets went out the door. Hundreds of dollars worth of door prizes were won, as well as the raffle items. Harley Davidson mini-fridge, a motorized cooler donated by Kelehers, Stihl chainsaw.

 

If you have any suggesstions for next year let me know and I will keep track and bring up these changes with the committee.

 

We thank everyone who came out to the show and helped make this year a success, if you didn't make it, I'm sorry, you missed a great time. Oh well...There's always next year. Mark your calendars for "Palm" Saturday 2010. (Saturday before Palm Sunday)

 

Again, a big heartfelt Thank You to all of the sponsors of the 2009 Meat Show! Please show your support by letting these sponsors know that you saw their prizes at the Meat Show. Fundraising is a very important part of The Fire departments ability to provide emergency services to not only our community but also to the surrounding communities in which we provide mutual aid.
