Introducing the South Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.- Junior Fire Dept web page. The Junior Fire Dept. program was launched with intention of getting the young people of the South Creek fire district involved with their community by observation and hands on work. Our goal is to prepare these young people to be the safest and well- trained firefighters that they can be, for their sake and for the sake of all the people living in the surrrounding communities that these young people will be serving to protect.

The requirements of a Junior member are that they have reached 14 years of age, have filed an application  with the department, and they must obtain a work permit as governed by the state of PA Child Labor Laws. In addition, before applying, they as well as their parent/ guardian must read and understand the Fire dept guidlines and by-laws as well as the SCVFD Junior Fire Dept operating guidlines. All Junior members must maintain a passing status in school. Parents are welcome and encouraged to become involved as much as possible with thier childs membership activity.

Junior members are able to participate in all training activities with one on one mentoring, as well as participating in meetings, fundraising activities, and community social events.

For more information, please use the contact page, or stop in, we would love to answer any questions.
